As the years pass and things change it's hard to let go of what were wonderful times, when kids were little, their school years, college years. For me, now with grandkids, I hold onto the times with my grand-girls as youngsters wishing they didn't have to grow up so fast. So I totally understand your feelings. Since retiring from being a chemist, I've found life changed again, not always in welcome ways. One thing I've done was to start painting again, imagining taking all the classes and workshops as a new form of "college" for me where I could study art instead of molecules and math. Especially during Covid, being locked down, your workshops and the yearlong mentoring class you offered were lifesavers giving me something to study and grow new skills. Every day I had the Facebook page to look forward to, connecting with new people also studying your watercolor approach. I felt part of something again even if sometimes I fought off depression and loneliness. So I truly thank you for these opportunities to "hang in there" during the long Covid year and come out on the other side of it feeling that I didn't lose that year, but put it to good use. Andrea
